Robin Wright And Ben Foster Split: ‘She Couldn’t Deal With Him Anymore’

Actress Robin Wright has broken up with actor Ben Foster, bringing their 10-month engagement to an end.

Us Weekly reports that multiple sources claim the actress was the one who decided to end things because of their hectic schedules.

“She got swept up in the engagement last Christmas, but then their schedules got crazy and she realized it wasn’t the right decision.”

Over the summer, the relationship between Robin Wright and Ben Foster reportedly hit its breaking point since Robin had to juggle spending quality time with her adult kids on the weekends in L.A. with working on the hit Netflix series House of Cards in Baltimore throughout the week.

The 48-year-old actress was not the only one with a lot on her plate during the summer months since Ben worked on a production of A Streetcar Named Desire in London around the same time.

According to inside sources, the hectic schedule was not the only thing that caused Robin Wright to end her engagement with the 34-year-old actor. The difference in age and maturity level also allegedly played a role in the demise of their relationship.

“The [age] gap just ended up being too much. Ben was kind of immature. She couldn’t deal with him anymore.”

Robin Wright and Ben Foster first met while working together on the 2011 film Rampart. Pictures of the two celebrities enjoying a cozy dinner date at a low-key Italian restaurant located in Australia were released by People magazine in February of 2012 even though neither of them confirmed their relationship at that time.

Robin and Ben decided to take their relationship to the next level by confirming their engagement in January of this year.

The Daily Mail reported back in March that the House of Cards actress opened up about relationship with Ben Foster in March.

“[I] wake up every day and know that in my bone marrow. This is the one for me.”

In the same interview, Wright even went as far as saying that kissing Ben Foster was her favorite food.

Long before dating Robin Wright, Ben Foster was romantically linked to his Get Over It co-star Kirsten Dunst.

Robin Wright has been married twice. First, she was married to actor Dane Witherspoon from 1986 to 1988. She started dating Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn in 1989 after he finalized his divorce with Madonna. The couple became married in 1996 and finalized their divorce in July of 2010.
