‘RHOA’ Star Kenya Moore: ‘I Wanted To Focus On Getting Back To Who I Am’

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore has been on the show for a couple of years now, and she is learning what it takes to stand out as a dramatic housewife. Over her short run of a few seasons, Kenya has been accused of paying Walter Jackson to be her boyfriend, has pushed a potential engagement on him, has lost her dog, has been evicted by a landlord and has fought with almost every housewife. Kenya also kept hinting that she had hooked up with Apollo Nida.

Kenya Moore may have introduced herself on the show as being a highly successful producer, but fans have barely seen her work. That’s not to say that she doesn’t work, but compared to NeNe Leakes, who shares many of her career journeys on the show, Moore hasn’t shared too much. But that may change for Kenya, as she wants to return to her roots.

According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore is now revealing that she wants to go back to the person she was prior to becoming such a successful reality star on the show. And that means more business deals on this current season of the show.

“I’m also working on some new projects,” Kenya Moore recently revealed, adding, “The first is a TV pilot I’m producing called ‘Life Twirls On.’ I’m also launching my own hair care line that’s designed to strengthen your hair and make it longer. So I’m really busy this season.”

And while some fans may feel like she is copying Porsha Stewart’s hair care venture, as she also has her own hair care line, Kenya Moore isn’t just focusing on that. She will be returning to her roots and getting back behind the cameras.

“I am a producer, I’m an actor, I’m a writer,” Kenya Moore reveals, adding, “I wanted to focus on getting back to who I am and what I do best. The TV show is a half-hour comedy loosely based on my life. It’s funny, it shows me in a situation where I have two sisters. We move in together to try and resolve our differences, we’re all at different crossroads in our lives. It’s very exciting. I’m getting a lot of positive feedback.”

And with all of these great things happening in her life, Kenya Moore isn’t about to let her throne go on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, according to the Inquisitr. And with her increased fans, Kenya Moore will give back. She recently donated $20,000 to the Detroit school system, pushing NeNe Leakes to do the same. And she had some interesting words of wisdom regarding her donation.

“Ignorance is not a handicap,” Kenya Moore has revealed about her donation to the Detroit school system, adding, “I am from Detroit and often fashion myself to be a Detroit Barbie. I am crafty with my hands and am a trained fighter who can defend myself. With that said, being from the hood doesn’t mean you have to be ghetto and ignorant. It’s hypocritical to say you do not condone violence, BUT… There simply is no BUT. Let’s not send the message to all the little girls and young women to think it’s cool to be ratchet or take violent actions that land them in jail.”

What do you think of Kenya Moore returning to her roots?
