CIA’s Bin Laden “Devil Dolls” Up For Auction

Osama Bin Laden‘s name has reemerged in the news recently as the Navy Seal that shot and killed him came forward and identified himself. Rob O’Neill will forever have the memory of dealing the kill shot, potentially saving the United States from further catastrophe at the hands of Bin Laden. Now, you too can own a piece of Bin Laden history, if you choose to bid on the CIA’s decade old Bin Laden “Devil Doll”.

In an attempt to frighten young children away from the temptation of joining Osama Bin Laden and his organization, the CIA developed the doll with the intentions to distribute them in the areas that Osama had the most influence. The CIA’s hope was that the children would become so afraid of the dolls that the fear would subconsciously drift toward Bin Laden himself. Prototypes of the dolls were created in 2006 by Donald Levine, famed G.I.Joe maker. However, the toys, which where made in China, never made it to store shelves or in the hands of children. According to Sky News, CIA Spokesman Ryan Trapani, only knows of three prototype figures in existence.

“To our knowledge, there were only three individual action figures ever created, and these were merely to show what a final product might look like.”

Trapani went on to state that the samples were presented to the CIA and the plan to produce them was scrapped shortly thereafter.

“After being presented with these examples, the CIA declined to pursue this idea and did not produce or distribute any of these action figures.Furthermore, CIA has no knowledge of these action figures being produced or distributed by others.”

The Auction is set to end on November 20 online at Nate D. Sanders. Bidding begins at $2,500 and there is no estimate on the final price.

The auction already shows on bid at the minimum price, but most bids are not expected to take place until closer to the end of the auction. The “Devil Doll” is 12 inches tall and comes with two heads, one being the devil head and the other being Osama Bin Laden’s normal face. It was originally created as part of project “Devil Eyes”. How much would you bid on the “Devil doll” if money were not an option? What would you do with it if you won?
