Autopsy Results For Robin Williams Answers Quite A Few Questions For Family And Fans

The autopsy results for Robin Williams shows a man in pain and anguish who did not go back to his old demons for help.

The Stir is reporting that Williams’ autopsy did certify cause of death as suicide as a result of asphyxiation. The toxicology report shows the presence of four prescription drugs in his system, two caffeine compounds and two anti-depressants, for which Williams had prescriptions. No alcohol or illegal drugs were found in his system at the time of his death. The anti-depressants and caffeine compounds were found to be within “therapeutic concentrations,” meaning the prescription drugs were not abused, either.

The autopsy results and subsequent investigations also revealed that Williams was battling anxiety, severe depression, paranoia and was in the beginning stages of Parkinson’s disease. The police investigation found that Williams had taken several wristwatches and placed them in a sock, then took them to a friend’s house for safekeeping the night before he died. Further investigation also showed that Williams was having issues with his left arm. Moving his left arm had become laborious because of the tremors that had begun. Williams had been suffering Parkinson’s symptoms since 2011.

As part of the investigation, Williams’ wife, Susan Schneider, was asked if Williams participated in auto-erotica, to which she replied he did not. She did add that in one of his later films, 2009’s World’s Greatest Dad, William’s character’s son does die of auto-erotic asphyxiation, a scene that was “very difficult and emotional for Mr. Williams.”

The Independent Journal Review is reporting that Williams was also battling bipolar disorder, and Williams was also trying to find answers. During the investigation, police found Williams’ iPad, which his wife said he hadn’t used in months. On the iPad, Williams was researching seizure medication. One tab opened on his iPad held information concerning Lyrica, an anti-seizure medication. There were many tabs opened on the iPad concerning medications.

Though many questions are left unanswered concerning Williams’ actions, one might consider this very real possibility. Williams had begun losing that spark, that frenetic energy, that variable that made Robin Williams one of the world’s most beloved actors. That energy was slowly being taken away from him, the energy that made him so special. It had to scare him to realize that he was losing that part of himself that he, his family and fans held so dear. Searching the internet to try to find a way to slow down, if not arrest what was happening to him. And, after all that research, realizing nothing was going to work.
