Actor Andy Dick was arrested on Friday night for allegedly stealing a man’s necklace last week.
TMZ reports that Andy was riding his bicycle along Hollywood Blvd last week when he first caught sight of the necklace while it was still being worn by its owner. The 48-year-old actor rode his bike towards the man and asked him if he could see his necklace.
The man recognized Andy Dick and agreed to let him hold his jewelry. However, soon after Andy had it in his possession, he allegedly rode away with it and did not come back.
The owner of the necklace reported it was stolen, but Andy Dick was able to remain hidden for quite some time. That is, of course, until local police discovered the troubled actor close to his Hollywood apartment. According to the report, he was riding his bicycle once again at the time that he was found by the cops on Friday night.
Andy Dick was arrested on grand theft.
This is definitely not the first time that Andy Dick has had problems with the law.
In May of 1999, Andy Dick drove his vehicle into a utility pole and was charged with possession of cannabis, cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and driving under the influence. In December of 2005, he was arrested for allegedly exposing his bare butt inside of a local McDonald’s restaurant. In July of 2008, Andy Dick was arrested for exposing a 17-year-old female’s breasts by allegedly pulling at her tank top and bra.
In January of 2010, Andy was arrested and charged with the alleged sexual abuse of a bartender and patron in a West Virginia bar.
Andy Dick has also spent a lot of time in courtrooms — primarily because of his list of charges and arrests.
Other Hollywood celebrities have had plenty to say about Andy Dick for one reason or another. For instance, the Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner in 2006 was also viewed as a roast of Andy Dick, who was featured as one of the roasters at the event.
According to a 2006 article published by the Washington Post, Andy Dick felt as if the roast was always going to turn on him because of the “relationship” that he has with the world.
“They really love to jump down my throat and rake me across the coals. Just love it. People love to hate. I have a love-hate relationship with the world. The world loves to hate me. It really seems that way now… But all said and done, I had a really good time that night.”
At the time of the initial report of his recent grand theft arrest, Andy Dick was still in jail waiting for someone to come and post his $25,000 bail for him.
