Eminem Drugs: Rapper’s Appearance Blamed On Years Of Drug Abuse

Eminem struggled with drugs for many years, and it appears as though he’s now paying the price… physically. According to NewsOXY, Eminem attended the Wall Street Journal’s Innovator of the Year Awards, where he appeared “gaunt,” and his appearance shocked some people.

“He looked gaunt and tired as he wore his signature woolly hat. The star showed off hollowed cheek bones and uneven skin as he took center stage…. Eminem appeared fairly tired and the lines around his mouth were clearly visible,” pointed out NewsOXY.

The rapper’s look is being blamed on his years of drug abuse. Eminem started abusing drugs in 2002 while working on 8 Mile. At the time, the actor was having trouble sleeping, and was prescribed sleeping pills. He ended up relying heavily on those pills, and his first addiction formed. According to Mail Online, Eminem has admitted to having trouble with Ambien, Vicodin, and Valium. In 2005, Eminem went to rehab. He left the music industry for three years while he worked to right himself.

In a recent documentary titled How to Make Money Selling Drugs, Eminem confessed that he was previously hospitalized due to an overdose… and that he could have died. While he since has had at least one major relapse, the 42-year-old is doing much better. However, many feel as though his overall appearance is paying the price for his past.

Drugs have aged Eminem, there’s no question. However, he seems happier in general, and his life has certainly been turned around. The truth of the matter is that Eminem is getting older. While he may look even older than he is, he’s no longer a 25-year-old perfect-skinned young man. To put it in perspective, his daughter Hailie recently graduated from high school. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Eminem and Kimberly Mathers’ daughter graduated with a 3.9 GPA. Of course, everyone remembers that not so long ago Eminem was rapping about his baby girl… but she isn’t a baby anymore.

So perhaps Eminem’s aged face is due to the fact that he’s getting older and he abused drugs… not just one or the other. Thoughts?
