Dan Aykroyd: Aliens Think Humans Are ‘Depraved’ And ‘Disgusting’

Actor Dan Aykroyd has been pretty outspoken about UFOs and aliens in the past, and has recently revealed that he believes the reason why alien life forms have refused to make contact with the human race is because we are seen as a “violent, depraved, disgusting species.”

The Ghostbusters star, who says that he has personally encountered UFOs on several occasions in the U.S., stated in an interview with the Sunday Times Magazine his beliefs as to why aliens stay away.

According to Aykroyd, “[It’s] because we are a violent species. They don’t want anything to do with us. They watch us. There were two white orbs over [New] Jersey when the second tower went down on 9/11. They were on CNN for about two minutes… They never showed it again.”

“Can you imagine what was going through their advanced minds when they saw what happened on 9/11?” Aykroyd continued. “These humans crashing our highest evolution in aviation into our highest evolution in architecture and metallurgy, like kids wrecking toys in the sandbox. They are disgusted with us. And rightly so. Because we are a depraved, disgusting species.”

Aykroyd has been known to play such characters as Dr. Raymond Stantz in Ghostbusters, Beldar Conehead in Coneheads, and a member of The Blues Brothers with John Belushi on Saturday Night Live. But not many people are aware that the actor has, for years, been making very public statements about UFOs, even appearing in a 2005 documentary titled Dan Aykroyd Unplugged on UFOs, where he spoke at length about extraterrestrials visiting earth.

His recent interview with the Sunday Times Magazine is not the first time Aykroyd revealed that aliens wish to keep a distance from the human race. In a 2010 interview on Larry King Live, Dan stated that aliens are already among us, but haven’t revealed themselves because “they don’t want anything to do with us.”

Aykroyd is also not the only one in his family who has had a fascination with the paranormal. His great grandfather was a mystic who corresponded with author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle on the subject of spiritualism, and his father published a book about the history of ghosts in 2009 called… well, A History of Ghosts.

Whether people believe the information he spouts or not, Dan remains resilient in his fascination with paranormal phenomena and UFOs. He is a lifetime member and official Hollywood consultant for the Mutual UFO Network, and is said to follow UFO news and stay relatively current with the latest UFO-related research and cases.
