Eaten Alive Trailer: Is Discovery Channel Really About To Have A Man Swallowed Alive On Television? [Video]

Eaten Alive is Discovery Channel’s next big television event featuring an individual, Paul Rosolie, reportedly being eaten alive by an anaconda.

Yes, you read that right. Discovery Channel is set to air the special, Eaten Alive, later this year, and according to Discovery.com, naturalist and wildlife filmmaker Paul Rosolie will “enter the belly of an anaconda while wearing a custom-build snake-proof suit.”

US Weekly stated that the Eaten Alive trailer was released on YouTube on Wednesday, November 5, but just like the website, the trailer doesn’t tell viewers very much about what is actually going to be shown on the show.

“We’re heading into a unique ecosystem that no one’s ever explored before,” a voiceover says, as Rosolie and his team make their way through murky water to find an anaconda to eat Rosolie alive. “We’re gonna get me inside the snake,” Rosolie narrates. “We’re gonna make me as appealing as possible, so the snake just says, ‘Well, I got this big thing here. I might as well get a free meal.'”

Because there is so little information on what is actually going to happen, many are asking why someone would voluntarily be eaten alive by anything, and is this going to be done using a live snake. The Mirror mentioned that there is a chance that Eaten Alive could revolve around some sort of mechanical snake model, but the trailer footage suggests otherwise.
