‘Faking It’ Recap: Is Karma Really Looking For Friendship Now That Amy’s Moving On?

Faking It fans, did last night’s episode leave you filled with more questions than answers? For those of you who have yet to check it off your DVR’s to-watch list, be warned, there are some pretty big spoilers ahead!

Might as well begin with the pink elephant in the room and ask the question everyone is asking themselves: is Karma really ready to let Amy move on and explore relationships with other girls?

For those of you who are all caught up on the show, we know that Karma and Amy’s friendship is complicated. After pretending to be a lesbian couple to gain popularity at their fictional high school, Hester High, we all know that Amy discovered that she had some deep rooted romantic feelings for her best friend, Karma.

Well, after watching Tuesday nights all new episode of the MTV show, fans are left wondering where Karma stands when it comes to her feelings for Amy. Karma has made it very clear over the past few episodes that she loves Amy but, as her best friend, nothing romantic what so ever. She even devoted herself to helping Amy find the perfect girlfriend, especially after Amy gave Liam and Karma her blessings.

Faking It fans have seen quite a few couplings since the second season began, but there was never really any solid romantic interest for Amy, that is, until Reagan entered the picture. According to Entertainment Weekly, now that Amy and Reagan are finally exploring their relationship, Amy isn’t comfortable bringing her new partner into her personal life — as in Amy isn’t ready to introduce Reagan to her friends, especially not Karma.

In true best friend fashion, Karma starts questioning Amy on whether or not she’s told her new romantic interest about her, and after Amy hesitates things start to get a little weird between the two. Of course, Amy’s openly gay friend Shane stirs the pot when he coaxed Karma into dropping in on Amy’s date, which he also happens to drop in on with his closeted boy toy.

The surprise drop-ins, of course, put a strain on Amy and Reagan’s date, but things get out of hand when Karma starts to push her relationship with Amy into Reagan’s face. After quite a bit of back and forth between Karma and Reagan, things end with Amy telling Karma to back off and with Karma questioning whether or not she wants to be with Liam or with Amy.

Karma swears that she wants to be with Liam and that she is only looking out for Amy but it seems like the characters of Faking It, and the fans, believe otherwise. An MTV poll asked fans to vote on whether or not they think Karma is really over Amy and current results show that 83 percent of fans believe that Karma isn’t over Amy.

So what do you think fans? Is Karma from Faking It harboring secret feelings for Amy?
