Olive Garden Overload: Man Eats 95 Meals In 6 Weeks Using Pasta Pass

Olive Garden strives to bring the best Italian food to its customers and doing it for prices that are often times unbeatable. Well, a North Carolina man decided to take advantage of a special offer that was presented to only 1,000 people, and he used it to eat 95 meals at the chain restaurant in just six weeks.

Alan Martin of Burlington, North Carolina, took the meaning of his “Never Ending Pasta Pass” to heart, according to My Fox 8. Once he was able to be one of the lucky people that had the ability to purchase it, Martin let Olive Garden know that he wouldn’t waste it.

In the course of just six weeks, Martin headed to his local Olive Garden and consumed 95 meals using that special pass. He was able to buy it for just $100, but he did some math and realized that he had received a total of $1,510 worth of food in that original time period.

Martin has until November 9 to use the pass, and he has already set a goal in place for getting the most out of it that he can. Until the day expires, he is going to eat twice a day at Olive Garden in order to take advantage of the deal itself.

“I would love to be the person that ate the most of the 1,000 people. That would be a good contest to win. Because that means I got the most value out of the card of anyone in the United States.”

He has a very valid point, and it’s one that Olive Garden most likely never really put much consideration into when they came up with the contest. Fox 2 Now says that the Never Ending Pasta Pass is good for as much pasta, salad, bread, and Coca-Cola drink products that a customer can consume during the one seven-week period.

Martin had actually announced his intentions when he won one of the 1,000 passes that Olive Garden awarded out. Over 500,000 people tried to win the pass, but Martin won one of them, and he even lives within walking distance of an Olive Garden.

His original attempt was to eat “100 free dinners,” and in just the first six weeks, he was already close to that goal.

There was a stipulation in the contest though and the winners could not share any food with others at their table. Martin had no problem with that has he said he was “willing to gain 30 pounds to collect $1,500 dollars in free dinners.”
