Jon Gosselin ‘Cordial’ With Kate Gosselin, Paid $20 For Video Game At Her Yard Sale

Jon Gosselin and his ex-wife Kate Gosselin were “cordial” at the yard sale that the reality star held two weeks ago. According to InTouch Weekly, Jon showed up at the event around 10:30 a.m. (the event started at 7 a.m.) to see his kids. While he was there, he scooped up a video game that was his to begin with and gave one of his kids $20 as a donation to charity (Kate donated some of the proceeds to the Animal Rescue League).

“I donated money and got my stuff back … I got my video game back. I donated $20, it went to ARL,” Jon told TMZ. When he was asked about how things were with Kate, he said that the two still “don’t really talk,” which is pretty much how things have been since the two got divorced back in 2009.

Jon Gosselin said that there were cameras on hand to film for the family’s reality show but he said he didn’t know that TLC was going to be filming. However, it didn’t seem to bother him very much, even if he has previously said that he doesn’t want his brood on television.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Jon was recently evicted from his apartment after failing to pay rent. The dad of eight has fallen on hard times, unable to secure a job or pay his bills. Since he really has nothing going for him right now, it made sense for him to visit with his kids at his ex’s yard sale. Jon said that it was his kids that invited him there and fans thought it was great to see them doing something as a family, even if it was a little awkward.

Jon Gosselin seemed okay talking about his ex, and he didn’t sling any mud in her direction. While he’s previously not had too many nice things to say about Kate, he seems to be willing to move past their differences for the sake of their eight children. According to Us Weekly, Jon did make one comment about being “bossed around,” but it didn’t sound like he was actually being mean about it.

“We don’t really talk. It was cordial. Yeah [we talked], like, ‘Go here, go there.’ Like directions.”

Some fans think that Kate should help out her ex-husband, who doesn’t have much going on in his life right now. However, Kate likely won’t use any of her reality show money (from Kate Plus 8 or The Celebrity Apprentice) to help out Jon since he wanted nothing to do with the “famous” life. However, if he makes additional appearances on Kate Plus 8, TLC could offer him money… so maybe he will have a change of heart. Who knows?
