‘Bachelorette’ 2015: Sarah Herron Wants The Job, But Will Have Tough Competition

The next Bachelorette is up for grabs and the race for who will be looking for love in 2015 is already heating up.

This weekend, former Bachelor and The Bachelor In Paradise contestant Sarah Herron put in her bid to become the Bachelorette in 2015. Herron made her intentions known in a semi-joking Twitter post in which she dreamed about being the focus of the next season.

But many think that Herron will have a difficult time getting picked as the Bachelorette in 2015.

As Celeb Dirty Laundry pointed out, ABC is likely to wait and see who stands out from the upcoming Bachelor season before making their choice:

“There’s no way they’re going to pluck a random from several seasons ago when they can select someone from the latest season, which guarantees that the audience will remember her and already have some investment in her romantic life. So Sarah Herron can dress up in as many Bachelorette Halloween costumes as she wants, but it’s not going to do her a lot of good when it comes down to the wire.”

Others believe there could be more fitting — and more appealing — choices for The Bachelorette in 2015 than Sarah Herron. The Stir‘s Joanna Mazewski points to Nikki Ferrell, who just got out of a relationship with reviled Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis. Though she may be an odd choice, as ABC tends to pick popular runners up, the network has found with Andi Dorfman that the anti-Juan Pablo crowd loves to see his scorned women take center stage.

But whoever ABC picks for The Bachelorette 2015, it likely won’t be announced anytime soon. Filming just started for Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor, which will run its course before a decision is made.
