‘Teen Mom’ Star Kailyn Lowry’s School Had Lockdown After School Shooting

Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry may have started her day yesterday as any other, not thinking that something scary was to happen in her hometown. Earlier this year, Kailyn revealed that she had started going to school again, because she wants to work in mass communications and television in the future. Perhaps her friends and producers at MTV have helped her see that this is something she wants to do.

Based on Kailyn Lowry’s shocking tweets, it doesn’t sound like she was at school yesterday. During the late afternoon, reports started coming out of Dover, Delaware and Kailyn was quick to tweet about it. Apparently, there was reason for panic. But Kailyn’s tweet assured her followers that she was alright.

According to a new tweet, Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry revealed that there had been a shooting near her school and her home. She tweeted that she hoped people were safe and highlighted the fact that there were too many school shootings happening.

Kailyn Lowry didn’t go into details about the shooting. But the NY Post later revealed that a lockdown had been put in place for the Delaware State University after a student was shot. The lockdown was later lifted and the student was the only person shot. The shooting happened at an off-campus residence hall. Even though the shooting was isolated, it is still a scary thing to think about. And Kailyn being a mother of two may have been rattled by the whole thing.

The student shot is expected to survive as he was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The shooter is still at large, but if the student can remember the shooting, it is possible that he will be able to pinpoint the shooter. Surely, the students at Delaware University and Kailyn Lowry will feel safer once the shooter has been caught.

It was just a few months ago that Kailyn Lowry tweeted a picture of herself as a full-time college student on her first day, according to the Inquisitr. Lowry is already dealing with the stress of being a mother of two while studying, so the last thing she needs to deal with is a school shooting. Luckily, this was an isolated incidence and the victim is expected to survive.
