Wendy Williams Shares 30-Pound Weight Loss Secrets And Emotional Eating Struggles With Dr. Oz [Video]

Wendy Williams has become famed for her bold, sometimes brash, brilliance in taking over the lead on daytime talk shows. But she told Dr. Mehmet Oz on his November 4 talk show that she secretly has battled emotional overeating for years. Now Wendy is sharing all her secrets with Dr. Oz, from her 30-pound weight loss diet to the procedure that she’s wanted to have.

At 50, Wendy emphasizes that gaining weight as you age is not inevitable. But it does take work, from reducing your food intake to exercising. Williams believes in making small changes for long-term weight loss results, such as using red wine vinegar rather than salad dressing.

As for fitness, Wendy frequently invites exercise experts to her show to share their secrets for working off the extra pounds. As shown below, she recently learned the art of indoor cycling from the Soul Cycle instructors.

But Wendy told Dr. Oz that she has sometimes struggled with her weight. She’s learned to manage her food intake, however, and stressed that she feels her body image has improved as a result.

Williams also previously appeared on the Dr. Oz Show and revealed another health problem that she still battles, which is excessive sweating, according to WellBuzz. Known as hyperhidrosis, Wendy’s condition has not been remedied by perspiration deodorant or even Botox, she noted.

However, there is an FDA-approved procedure called MiraDry. This treatment microwaves the sweat pores to cut down on perspiration.

In addition, Wendy discussed her thyroid disease with Dr. Oz on a prior episode. One reason that she wears wigs is to hide the hair loss from her thyroid condition, according to the Examiner.

Wendy didn’t initially know that she had this condition, and visited a doctor only when she experienced other symptoms, including sweating and weight loss.

Various types of thyroid disease exist, and symptoms vary widely, including hair loss, cracked or peeling fingernails, weight gain or weight loss and fatigue. Some people with the condition also experience depression.

Wendy Williams isn’t the only celebrity to recently appear on the Dr. Oz show and talk about weight loss. As the Inquisitr reported, Kendra Wilkinson also visited with Dr. Oz and revealed her own celebrity weight loss success.

Kendra chose the high fat low carb ketogenic Atkins diet. She told Dr. Oz that pregnancy changed her image of herself from a cute sexy girl, but emphasized that she doesn’t regret having children. She does feel better, however, after losing her post-baby pounds with the weight loss plan, which she selected after researching her options.

“I researched the perfect diet for after baby… I love meat, I love vegetables, it’s low-carb… it’s working so good… You have to go on a diet and really take care of your body.”
