Son Hanging From Hook: Teen Mom Arrested After ‘Revenge’ Photo Is Posted By Son’s Dad On Facebook

A mom had her son hanging from a hook and a photo was taken to prove it. According to the New York Daily News, 18-year-old Virginia mom Alexis Breeden hung her son from a hook in the ceiling by his shirt which was pulled up around his neck. The 14-month old was apparently crying in the photo that looked like it was taken with a cell phone. After a fight with the boy’s father, he posted the photo on Facebook… and it started getting passed around like crazy.

The photo reached the sheriff’s office, and Breeden ended up turning herself in. She is free on $2,500 bail, but faces felony child abuse charges. It’s unknown why Breeden’s son was hanging from a hook, but Breeden said that it was a “joke.” Not too many people found said joke funny, however, especially not the police. It is one thing to dress your child up in a silly costume and it is another to put them in any kind of potential danger. Breeden might claim that she was “right there” and that her son wasn’t harmed, but she will likely be facing serious consequences for her bad taste in humor.

According to the Huffington Post, Anthony Welch, 18, posted the photo weeks after it was taken. Police suspect that the pic was snapped some time in September. Welch is not facing any charges in the case. The caption he chose to write with the photo was interesting, and it is easy to see that he was very angry.

“Everybody think that alexis is a good mom this is what she sent me. tell me wat the [expletive] yall think (sic),” Welch posted on Facebook along with the picture of his son hanging from the hook which you can see below.

As of now, Breeden is only allowed to see her son with someone else; she is not allowed to be alone with him.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Breeden turned herself in on October 30. It was discovered that Welch posted the photo as retaliation after the fight that he had with his son’s mother. Breeden took to Facebook with the following message.

“The cops came to my house twice last night and saw that he was fine. They think this was immature and dumb of me but he saw I was playing and no one needs to know everything going on because some of you aren’t parents and no one knows the full story. Mind your own f**king business.”
