Lena Dunham Fires Back: Responds To Sexual Abuse Allegations With ‘Rage Spiral’ Via Twtter
Lena Dunham definitely isn’t a happy camper right now. Several media outlets began reporting rumors about Dunham allegedly molesting her little sister when she they were children. The accusations stem from an admission Dunham shared in her new memoir Not That Kind of Girl. The 28-year-old actress revealed how she and her sister experimented sexually when they were much younger.
According to Buzzfeed, the first argumentative and accusatory column was published by the National Review. Author Kevin D. Williamson openly accused This is 40 actress and her parents of child abuse. Although their parents weren’t physically involved in the questionable acts, Williamson blames the parents for allowing such actions to occur.
Here’s an excerpt from Williamson’s column.
“Dunham writes of casually masturbating while in bed next to her younger sister, of bribing her with “three pieces of candy if I could kiss her on the lips for five seconds … anything a sexual predator might do to woo a small suburban girl I was trying,” Williamson wrote. At one point, when her sister is a toddler, Lena Dunham pries open her vagina – “my curiosity got the best of me,” she offers, as though that were an explanation.”
Another accusatory post was published by Truth Revolt. The blog’s column, titled “Lena Dunham Describes Sexually Abusing Her Little Sister,” has definitely raised more speculation. The column is reportedly a follow-up of the National Review’s column, where author Bradford Thomas also referenced similar details from the book.
“In the collection of nonfiction personal accounts, Dunham describes using her little sister at times essentially as a sexual outlet, bribing her to kiss her for prolonged periods and even masturbating while she is in the bed beside her.”
Although some fans have taken to Twitter in support of Dunham, arguing that the cited excerpts have reportedly been embellished, there are others who feel otherwise.

However, Dunham has reportedly grown tired of public opinion. Now, she’s fired back with a response. On November 1, Dunham took to Twitter with a series of tweets she’s described as a “rage spiral.” She openly addressed the rumors and allegations head on with no reservations about voicing her frustrations.
“The right wing news story that I molested my little sister isn’t just LOL – it’s really f**king upsetting and disgusting,” she tweeted.
