‘Batman V Superman’ Filming: Henry Cavill Spotted In Chicago [Photos]

Goodbye Detroit, hello Chicago. The Batman v Superman cast and crew are now ready to start filming in the Windy City, and as proof we have several photos showing British actor Henry Cavill (Superman) posing with lucky fans.

Director Zack Snyder packed up his bags and brought the production down south to Illinois last week. Filming is expected to resume on November 5, according to a previous report on the Inquisitr, but we are already getting a glimpse at some of the cast members.

Henry Cavill returns to filming Batman v Superman in the role of the Man of Steel, and we expect to see lots of him during his time in Chicago, as well as other locations in the state. Illinois is also home to the Kent farm, where Clark Kent’s mother, Martha (Diane Lane), still lives, and will once again be part of the movie. The website Superman Homepage has several photos of that set here.

Reports on social media indicate that this first phase of Batman v Superman filming will take place at that location close to the city of Yorkville. If Snyder uses his locations in Illinois as he did the ones in Michigan, we can expect to get some photos of Cavill as Clark Kent.

In the meantime, the actor was photographed with some very lucky fans as he had some late breakfast at a local Chicago restaurant.

Chicago is the setting for Metropolis, which at the end of Man of Steel, is virtually flattened after the epic fight between Superman and General Zod, played by Michael Shannon. Even though we expect this part of the Batman v Superman filming in Chicago Superman heavy, a reporter for Superman Homepage spotted trailers transporting what looked like a disguised Batmobile.
