‘Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ Zombies DLC Confirmed, How To Unlock In Game

A Call of Duty: Advanced Warfareleak revealed the presence of zombies for the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC shooter. Now GameStop has confirmed that the undead will appear in the game — but as DLC content. There’s also news on how to unlock zombies in the retail version of the game that becomes available on Monday, November 3.

Currently, zombies only appear in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare following a good bit of work. Players will need to play the Exo-Survival co-op mode until you complete all four difficulty tiers and unlock Riot mode. Once Riot mode is unlocked, you need to complete eleven waves. After the last wave is complete, a “DNA bomb” will go off and unleash a horde of zombies for the twelfth wave.

So far, that appears to be the only place that zombies will appear in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. However, it does provide the setup for more. Unfortunately, it looks like additional zombie action will only come as downloadable content via the Season Pass.

These won’t be normal the zombies that we’ve become accustomed to from Call of Duty: Black Ops. The footage picked up on so far tips that these will be Exo-suit powered zombies that will be faster and able to jump higher.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Retreat Kill Confirmed (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC)

The COD: Advanced Warfare Season Pass costs $49.99 and comes with four DLC packs. It also includes the bonus Atlas Gorge map and now zombies. The first DLC pack, the Havok map pack, is set to hit the Xbox One and Xbox 360 in January followed by the PlayStation consoles and the PC in February. There’s no word yet on if zombies will be part of all four packs or individual packs. Still, individual packs will be available to purchase for $14.99 as well.
