Smiley Miley Cyrus Sets Flaming Lips On Fire

Former Disney Princess Miley Cyrus hooking up with Oklahoma’s bombshell underground psychedelic band from the 1980’s – The Flaming Lips – is like the Odd Couple suddenly admitting “we’re straight!” Sounds like something out of a Godzilla Flick.

The New York Post reports that Miley is giving a big thumbs up about a new world of bands to her young followers. The Flaming Lips are grateful to be on the ‘A List’ with Cyrus crowing about their sound via her Instagram and Twitter accounts and have appeared with Miley on stage several times.

Frontman and singer Wayne Coyne thinks it is groovy that Miley is opening doors for other artists and sharing a more edgy sound with fans. He tweeted a pic of her rolling a number during their recording session and said she is an avid pot head — smokin’.

On October 28, The Flaming Lips released their latest album With A Little Help From My Fwends – a full-length track-by-track revamp of the 1967 Beatles’ Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. Miley adds vocal tracks to a couple of songs on the new LP, “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” and “A Day In The Life.”

At the heart and soul of this project all artists’ royalties from the album will be donated to The Bella Foundation, a non-profit based in the Lip’s hometown of Oklahoma City. The organization assists low-income elderly or terminally ill pet owners with the cost of veterinary care. Who does that?

PopStop TV also reveals that it is the cat’s meow that Cyrus and Coyne have sealed their ‘best friends forever’ status with matching tattoos! Just to be on the safe side, Coyne’s real girlfriend has the same tattoo.

Let us admit that Cyrus is like a good girl gone bad. The public is over her bare-all attitude and desire to kill the innocence of Hannah Montana. But really, Hannah was never real and is not the dragon after all. Miley’s entire success in this world as an artist is the result of having been Hannah, so it’s okay to love her, too.

The Inquisitr writes that Dolly Parton loves her little God-Daughter, Miley Cyrus. Being young puts everyone to the test and no one gets through this time in their life without a few bumps and bruises along the way.

Look beneath the painted face and flaunting personality at the great young artist that Miley Cyrus is and discover the Princess is still there — riding out her own “Wrecking Ball.”
