Ariana Grande Reportedly Acts Like A ‘Spoiled Diva’ At BBC Radio 1’s Teen Awards

Ariana Grande can’t escape rumors that she’s slowly turning into a full-blown diva.

Whenever a female singer’s star takes off like a rocket, there’s almost always someone lurking in the shadows who is ready and willing to take them down a notch. As soon as Grande’s “Problem” became a certified hit over the summer, reports about her diva behavior began to pop up in the tabloid press. While people have jumped to the former Sam and Cat star’s defense, these rumors just aren’t going away.

The folks over at Celeb Dirty Laundry believe that Ariana Grande was in full-on “spoiled diva” mode during her appearance at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards on October 19. Quoting a report from the always-questionable Star Magazine, the site explains that Grande’s behavior included a very nasty bit involving a bottle of water.

“She had an assistant follow her around with a bottle of water and a straw. And as soon as she was feeling a bit parched, she was scream ‘WATER!’ and the girl would scurry over. At one point, the water was too warm for her liking, so she spit it out! Ariana won’t be welcomed back!”

As always, Ariana Grande fans should take this with a huge grain of salt. While the press seems willing to paint the pint-sized singer as a problem child, her fellow singers aren’t convinced she’s a “spoiled diva.” For example, Jessie J, who worked with Ariana on the catchy track “Bang Bang,” wishes everyone would just leave her collaborator alone.

“She’s wonderful and she’s had an extraordinary amount of success and the media sadly can’t keep celebrating that, so they have to find something that they feel people would want to be more nosily interested in. I’ve had the ‘diva’ stamp, too… and there’s a very fine line between diva and survivor… [The accusations are] complete and utter bulls**t and you can put that in [your story]!”

So is there any truth whatsoever to the Ariana Grande water fiasco? According to Gossip Cop, nothing of the sort took place at the Teen Awards last month. Grande’s rep reached out to the website to squash these reports, adding that this particular rumor was nothing short of “amazing.” In other words, it’s just another attempt by the tabloids to sling some mud on a singer who is wrapping up an amazing year.
