Bodies Of Two Hong Kong Women Found Inside British Man’s Apartment

The decomposing bodies of two women were found in a luxury Hong Kong apartment of a man believed to be a banker for one of the top global banks in the world. The police arrested the 29-year-old British suspect on Saturday in the Wan Chai district of Hong Kong.

The Telegraph reported that local media in Hong Kong said the two women were believed to be sex workers of Asian origin. One of the women had been found stuffed in a suitcase on the balcony of the apartment. Her body was badly decomposed and Hong Kong police said it was evident she had been there for several days.

The woman had been nearly decapitated and her nude body was wrapped in a towel. Her hands and legs were bound with rope inside the suitcase. A passport was discovered at the scene for a 25-year-old woman from Indonesia. The Hong Kong police said the corpse had been there a long time because maggots were found in the body.

The second body in the apartment was believed to be that of a woman who was 25 to 30 years old. She was found lying naked in the living room and her throat had been slashed. There was also evidence that she had been stabbed multiple times. A knife, believed to have been used in the crimes, was recovered in the Hong Kong apartment.

The apartment building was a 40-story complex inhabited mainly by ex-pats from Britain. BBC News reported that the United Kingdom Foreign Office confirmed that a “British national had been arrested in Hong Kong.” The man is believed to be an employee of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, but his identity has not yet been released.

Even though residents expressed shock over the murders and said they never expected anything like that to happen in Hong Kong, it isn’t the first bizarre murder story out of the country this year. In August, the Inquisitr reported a story about a Hong Kong man who had killed his elderly parents, cooked them and then packed the pieces of their bodies in lunchboxes.

The Hong Kong police were called to the scene by the suspect himself at around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday. CCTV footage from the apartment complex showed him returning to his flat with one of the women around midnight and there was a small amount of cocaine found at the scene. For now, Hong Kong authorities haven’t filed formal charges against the British suspect.
