Rumors Untrue: Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama Did Not Secretly Tie The Knot

Gossip Cop has squashed rumors that Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama secretly tied the knot. The website reports, that Lovato and Valderrama did not get married.

The rumor mill was set a blaze by a story by Hollywood Life, which speculated that Lovato and Valderrama had tied the not in private because they were sporting matching rings on their ring fingers. In reality the couple have had the rings for a while Gossip Cop reports. The site also shares the fact that Hollywood Life also falsely reported that the couple was engaged in 2012 and again in January of 2014.

“Lovato and Valderrama did not tie the knot. Period. They are most definitely NOT married, and they have been wearing those rings for a while,” a source close to the couple told Gossip Cop.

Lovato and Valderrama have been a couple since 2010. Four years together with their hectic schedules is actually a true feat.

Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama have worked hard to keep their relationship private, but recently the pop star opened up about her relationship with the actor. Blog.sfgate.com reports that Lovato has revealed that she and Valderrama bonded while they were shooting a public service announcement encouraging other Latinos to vote.

Lovato, 22, said that when she laid eyes on Valderrama in 2010 she was ‘smitten’ with him. Lovato says it was Valderrama’s charm that won her over. At the time Valderrama praised Lovato for speaking out on political matters.

“I went to his house for a PSA shoot for Voto Latino. I was like, ‘This guy is so attractive.’ We started talking.” Lovato told AndPop.com

Lovato, says she is as enamored with him now as she was then.

“He is very good looking. He is my absolute best friend in the whole world that I happen to be attracted to,” Lovato added.

Valderrama recently showed support for Lovato, by cheering her on during her concert at New York’s Barclays Center.

Lovato, has spent most of her time in 2014, on the road in support of her fourth studio album, Demi. The album was released last year and has had three Top 40 hits on the Hot 100 chart.

Lovato wrapped up her North American tour on October 27. Lovato is expected to release her next album in 2015 with Hollywood Records. Lovato will set off on a short European tour, beginning on November 16 in Istanbul.
