‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Series Finale Completes Filming After Director’s Surgery

The Sons of Anarchy series finale has completed filming, after director Kurt Sutter returned to set following an unexpected appendectomy. The FX show suffered the minor set back earlier this week, but that didn’t slow the production down.

Sutter himself announced the news of the end of the series on his Instagram and Twitter accounts. He took the opportunity to thank everyone with the caption, “That’s a wrap. Thank you. #soa #finalride.”

Prior to this shot, Kutter shared another photo, painting a good picture of how he was feeling on the last day.

“Day 10 of 10. #soa Final day of #finalride Tired. Grateful. Medicated.” he said.

Sutter also posted a less appealing photo of the offending appendix. View at your own risk.

Earlier this week, the unplanned surgery put the filming of Sons of Anarchy series finale in jeopardy. However, Paris Barclay — who directed the premiere of the final season, in addition to Episodes 7, 10, and 12 — came to the rescue. Barclay is a trusted colleague to Sutter, and there’s an understanding between the two, so not to worry.

All ended well, and now the Sons of Anarchy final season is a wrap. The long running series is ending on a high note after seven successful years on FX.

Loyal followers are disappointed that their favorite show is coming to an end, as is the cast, who has been through it all. Some of the cast members have taken to Twitter in the last few days to share their feelings with fans.

In the end, Sutter only missed two days of filming for the Sons of Anarchy series finale, and will reunite with the rest of the cast on November 11 on Conan. Check your local listings.
