Dina Manzo Opens Up About Family Feud

Dina Manzo and her family have been involved in an ongoing feud for the last several seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. During the filming of the season six reunion show, Dina opened up about her estrangement from many of her family members.

In a sneak peek at the upcoming reunion special, obtained by Us Weekly on October 30, host Andy Cohen asked Dina about her relationship with Jacqueline and Chris Laurita’s autistic son, Nicholas. “I don’t know Nicholas at all,” Dina responded. “The work that I do, I see children… and he’s progressing.”

Cohen then asked if Dina Manzo would consider meeting Nicholas if her brother, Chris, and his wife invited her to do so. “Probably not,” she said. “I have to say what hurts me more is my daughter. That’s her godfather and she grew up with [Chris]. I’m more bothered for the kids who understand.”

Dina later revealed that despite inviting her family, including Chris, Jacqueline and her sister Caroline to her daughter’s graduation party, she was not asked to attend the engagement party thrown for her niece, Lauren Manzo. “I invited everybody to Lexi’s graduation party. Jacqueline, Chris, Caroline, the kids,” Dina said. Unfortunately, none of the family showed up.

Amid her reality show stint, Dina Manzo had an epic falling out with Caroline. Even now, fans are in the dark about what exactly drove them apart. Some claimed it was Dina’s relationship with Teresa Giudice. Others said it had to do with Jacqueline. Either way, they are still on the outs.

In a June 2014 interview with Us Weekly, Dina Manzo said she’d never do a reality show with family again. This was, of course, before Jacqueline was brought back to The Real Housewives of New Jersey mid-way through filming of season six.

“I will never do a reality show with family ever again,” Dina told the magazine. “It’s just not a healthy environment.”

Also in the interview, Dina insisted she did not request Jacqueline be removed from the cast before she signed on. “I didn’t get anyone fired,” she explained. “One of my first questions for the producers when I was invited back was, ‘You’re not getting rid of anyone because of me, right?’ And they said, ‘Absolutely not.'”

Although the season seven cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey has yet to be confirmed, Dina recently hinted that she was quitting. According to the Inquisitr, Dina told fans her soul couldn’t be around “horrible people.”

A short time later, via the Inquisitr, Laurita appeared to be open to a reconciliation. “I’m happy in my life,” she said. “I have a lot of great things coming up. Those that want to be a part of my life can be there, those that don’t…k bye.”
