In the new film, Jason Statham plays the primary antagonist, Ian Shaw - brother of the late Owen Shaw (the villain from Fast and Furious 6) that is seeking vengeance for his brother's death.

The Rock clearly has shifted completely to the side of the good guys/pardoned criminals, helping them to battle against Owen Shaw and his own secret team to seek vengeance for the death of Han.

Keep in mind that there were no plot details attached to this epic picture of Hobbs vs Ian (aka The Rock vs Jason Statham). However, the caption said more than enough - especially if you are a Fast and Furious fan.

"This is what you all have been waiting for. #Furious7"
After you saw Jason Statham featured in the end credits of Fast and Furious 6 as the vengeful brother that clearly killed Han in Tokyo, chances are that you started getting excited about this type of battle happening in the seventh installment. It is apparently clear that director James Wan, the cast and crew of Furious 7 did not want to disappoint.

As you can see from their facial expressions, this is probably going to be the highlight fight scene of Furious 7 - just like The Rock vs Vin Diesel in Fast Five and Gina Carano vs Michelle Rodriguez in Fast and Furious 6.

This intense picture of Dwayne Johnson going up against Jason Statham was not the only treasure shared on the Fast and Furious page on Wednesday. They also posted a Vine video that exclusively showed behind-the-scenes footage of other fight scenes from the movie - featuring Ronda Rousey, Ludacris and the late Paul Walker.

Keep in mind that martial artist Tony Jaa was also added to the cast of Furious 7, according to Screen Rant, which guarantees at least one more fight scene.

All of these images and clips are being used to increase excitement and anticipation for the first official Furious 7 trailer being released on Saturday, November 1.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there will be a live launch event held on the West Coast and streamed around the world that will allow millions of Fast and Furious fans and critics worldwide to get their first glimpse of what is coming.
