Ashton Kutcher Reveals Story Behind Baby Wyatt’s Name
These days Ashton Kutcher is extremely busy. Not only is he a new dad to his daughter Wyatt, but he’s gearing up to promote the final season of Two and a Half Men.
Kutcher stopped by Conan O’Brien to discuss life with fiancee Mila Kunis and their new baby, and what he thinks of Charlie Sheen. Although Sheen has been out of Two and a Half Men since Kutcher replaced him, the quirky actor is still talking about Ashton, and wanting to return to the show. As for Kutcher, he’s too busy and just doesn’t have time to listen to Sheen’s babbles, which he compares to the parent from Charlie Brown.
He added, “I’ve got an awesome job, and it’s thanks to you not having it anymore, so thank you.”
Even though the Charlie Brown / Charlie Sheen talk was amusing, people want to know how being a new father changed his life. Ashton, who’s been extremely private about his relationship with Mila Kunis, opened up just enough to give people a glimpse into his life.
When Kutcher announced the birth of Wyatt Isabelle people were confused by the unconventional name. If any Hollywood couple could name their child something “normal” we thought it would the no frills couple. So, Ashton decided to reveal the story behind the unique name.
Kutcher told Conan, “We had another name. We had it picked out and we’re like, ‘All right this is the name.’ Then we got pregnant a week—a couple weeks after we picked the name. But then when we were pregnant, the name just didn’t fit the energy that we were feeling.”
He continued, “We were calling it the baby, but never by the name that we had given it. One night Mila was just like, ‘This is not the name!’ I’m like, ‘OK! It’s not the name.’ I had to get the creative juices going. We were going to a Lakers game and I’ve got name Tourette’s. Then I was like, ‘All right I’ve got a really dumb idea. What about Wyatt?’ She goes, ‘That’s it.’ I was like, ‘Really? I did it?’ She was like, ‘Yeah, that’s it.'”
It doesn’t seem like Wyatt has a real significance but Ashton said that Isabelle is after Mila’s grandfather, so at least they kept it in the family.
After they decided on their daughter’s name Ashton did what any protective dad-to-be would do — reserve all domain names, of course!
“We got the Twitter handle, the Instagram—everything that you could possibly [have]. I don’t want a porn site with my daughter’s name! It’s unacceptable to me and it’s not gonna happen!”
