Jessa Duggar Wedding: ’19 Kids And Counting’ Star Plans Simple Ceremony, Even Simpler Honeymoon

Jessa Duggar and fiance Ben Seewald are keeping it simple for their wedding and the 19 Kids and Counting couple has even simpler plans for the honeymoon.

The couple is just days away from their wedding, an affair that they said will be pretty straightforward.

“We have most of our planning done,” Seewald, 19, told People magazine back in September. “When you’re planning a wedding, you can make it complicated or make it simple, and we are trying to make ours simple. There are some things that have to be done right before the wedding, but for the most part, we’re ready.”

Jessa Duggar added that dress shopping was easy as she picked out the second on she tried on.

The ceremony itself will be a dry one — literally. The Duggar family doesn’t drink, and Jessa herself said that liquor is “disgusting.” And even though the nuptials take place the day after Halloween, the Duggars won’t be encouraging any costumed guests — they say that magic and witches are “part of a demonic real God wants us to stay away from.”

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald may have some other motivation for their short and relatively simple engagement. The couple has decided to follow the dating rules prescribed by Jessa’s parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, which include no kissing before marriage. In fact, the only contact the couple has engaged in is a bit of side-hugging.

The wedding plans will be quite a bit different than those of Jessa’s sister Jill, who shared her wedding day with about 1,000 guests and television cameras from TLC.

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald also have some simple honeymoon plans, which mean no exotic or tropical locations. As Jessa’s mom Michelle points out, “it’s just too hard for the guys to try to keep their eyes averted” at the beach.
