Photo Of Man Dining Alone Goes Viral, See Why It Is Being Called A ‘Beautiful Moment’ [Photo]
It is not uncommon to see a person dining alone in a fast food restaurant. However, the way that one man has eased the pain of dining alone has left those on Twitter and Imgur calling it a “beautiful moment.”
Twitter user Madina Bashizadah posted the beautiful and heartbreaking photo to her Twitter account on October 22 and it has already received over 12,500 favorites and 7,800 retweets.

The photo shows an older man dining alone at an In-N-Out Burger. The man can be seen sitting at a table with a photo of his late wife resting across from him as he enjoys his burger. Madina told the Huffington Post that the sight was both beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.
“The older gentleman was sitting down enjoying his meal and I noticed that he had a photo with him. Automatically, I assumed she wasn’t here with us and I started tearing up because it was such a beautiful moment but heartbreaking at the same time.”
Madina says that after she snapped the photo, other patrons began approaching the man asking him about the photo. She says the man was overjoyed to speak about his late wife and shared their beautiful love story with all those that would listen.
“We found out that she was his sweetheart, his wife who passed away 5 years ago. They met at 17 but the war had kept them apart. He had searched for her for 10 years and one day as he was telling his barber the story, the barber calls his daughter in and it ends up being her. They were married instantly and it lasted for 55 years until she passed. He takes her photo everywhere. On one side of the laminated photo it’s him and her sitting on a couch together and on the back it has a photo of him and her side by side when they were young. Goes to show you true love does exist.”
This isn’t the first time the same man has been captured sharing a meal with a photo of his wife. A photo was posted to Imgur by user SoulRose that shows the man dining with another photo of his wife. The Imgur user approached the man and says the story he told was beautiful. It aligned with the story told to Madina with some added statements about his beloved wife. SoulRose notes some of the inspiring things that the man, simply dining alone, said that day.
“I was a very rich man. Not with money, but with love. I never had a single argument with my wife, but we had lots of debates. People are like candles. At any moment a breeze can blow it out, so enjoy the light while you have it. Tell your wife that you love her everyday. And be sure to ask her, have I told you that I love you lately?”
