‘GTA V’ PlayStation 4, Xbox One, And PC Exclusives Detailed; Stock Cars, Railguns, And More

Rockstar Games previously teased exclusive content for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC treatment of Grand Theft Auto V. The developer made good with the details Tuesday, revealing a mix of new events, vehicles, weapons and more. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners who picked up GTA V collector’s edition or special edition will also be able to bring over their exclusive content.

“To reward loyal GTAV fans for coming back to the newer, more detailed version of Los Santos and Blaine County, we’ve created an array of exclusive items specifically for these players – with each of them connected to activities designed for you to experience the game’s massive world in new and exciting ways,” Rockstar wrote on its Newswire.

Completing challenges in certain new events will unlock new vehicles anad weapons for purchase. On the vehicle front, this includes the Mad Max inspired Imponte Duke O’Death, as well as the Cheval Marshall monster truck. Those who prefer to take to the skies will have the option of the GTA classic Dodo seaplane, as well as a new Xero Gas blimp.

Rockstar is also introducing a series of Stock Car Races to GTA V. Competing and winning will allow you to earn muscle cars with custom paint jobs to look like classic stock cars complete with sponsorship logos.

Finally, there’s another underwater vehicle ready to be introduced. Completing the Wildlife Photography Challenge as Franklin will unlock the Kraken Sub for your use.

The two new weapons for GTA V on the PS4, Xbox One and PC are certainly an odd couple. On the one hand, there’s the high-powered, futuristic Rail Gun. On the other hand, there’s an old school Hatchet melee weapon for to “hack and slash foes up close and personal.”

Another new challenge to track down a street artist tagging walls around Los Santos will bring a new set of outfits to players. These are monkey-themed outfits, but returning players will also receive the Go Go Monkey Blista.

Meanwhile, a new GTA V story mission revolves around a murder mystery that Michael must solve. Once players put the clues together to solve it, they’ll unlock two Noire Style Filters for story mode gameplay and Snapmatic photos.

Rockstar also explained how the in-game bonuses for those who purchased GTA V Special Edition or Collectors Edition will make their way to the PS4, Xbox One and PC release of the game. This is not only just for those who purchased the two more expensive versions, but new players, as well.

“If you purchased the Special Edition or the Collector’s Edition last year, when you upgrade to one of the new systems, you will automatically have those items unlocked and accessible. Those in-game bonuses include the Stunt Plane Trials, Bonus Outfits and Tattoos, and the Pistol.50, Bullpup Shotgun and melee Hammer all for Story Mode use, as well as the Custom Classic GTA Parent Characters and the high-end Khamelion electric car for GTA Online.”

“Furthermore, if you missed out on your chance to buy a CE or SE the last time around, we will also make all of that content available for all players on PS4, Xbox One and PC to earn and acquire with in-game cash (original SE and CE owners will not have to spend any in-game cash to obtain them, they will automatically be accessible upon upgrade).”

“Note though that while you can only transfer a GTA Online character one time from the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions of GTA V to the PS4, Xbox One, or PC. You can continue to play the character on your old console, but the progress will not be shared between the last-gen and next-gen platforms.”

GTA V hits the PS4 and Xbox One on Nov. 18 with 1080p confirmed for the Sony next-gen console version. The PC release will arrive January 27, 2015 due to extra time needed for polishing.
