Weather Channel Founder To Megyn Kelly: Climate Change Is Bad Science [Video]

Weather Channel co-founder John Coleman reaffirmed his view that man-made climate change is a myth and “bad, bad science” during an appearance on Megyn Kelly’s show last night.

Coleman, who holds a journalism degree rather than one in meteorology or climatology, added that the media and political push for global warming has discouraged other global-warming skeptics from coming forward.

President Obama and members (or former members) of his administration “have repeatedly hammered home the message that climate change is one of mankind’s greatest threats,” FNC noted.

According to Coleman, however, 9,000 Ph.Ds and 31 scientists have signed a petition stating that carbon dioxide is not a significant greenhouse gas. See embed below.

Separately, Dr. Patrick Moore, the co-founder of Greenpeace, has also become a vocal critic of the climate change agenda. There have been instances in which other climatologists and public policy advocates have been censored and/or ostracized for raising questions about the man-made climate change consensus.

The former TV weatherman who co-founded The Weather Channel in 1981, Coleman recently caused a stir on the internet with an open letter to sponsors of what he considered a one-sided climate change forum. The letter stated in part that “There is no significant man-made global warming at this time, there has been none in the past and there is no reason to fear any in the future. Efforts to prove the theory that carbon dioxide is a significant ‘greenhouse’ gas and pollutant causing significant warming or weather effects have failed…I have studied this topic seriously for years. It has become a political and environment agenda item, but the science is not valid…”

The Inquisitr previously reported that Coleman, 80, deemed global warming the greatest scam in history.

Disputing Al Gore’s dire environmental warnings in the Inconvenient Truth movie, Coleman expressed an optimistically contrarian view on The Kelly File.

“I would like to announce tonight to people who are friends of Al Gore that whoops, he got that one wrong. The Antarctic ice cap is at an all-time record high in both coverage and thickness, and the Arctic ice cap at the North Pole is the highest it has been in several years. It’s in its so-called normal range since we got satellite observations that could measure it. So not only is the ice not melting, more polar bears are alive and happy today than we’ve had in 100 years. Life is good, Ms. Kelly. I gotta tell you, life is good.”

Coleman also chided Gore for supposedly getting a D grade in the only science course he took in college.
