Hell In A Cell 2014: WWE Network Live Results

Tonight on October 26, 2014, the WWE is proud to present Hell in a Cell 2014 live at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. It is sponsored by the video game WWE 2K15.

WWE Hell in a Cell is a specialty pay-per-view that began back in 2009. It is a specialty event named after its specialty match respectively of the same name. However, the Hell in a Cell match itself is iconic and has been around far longer than the pay-per-view. Originally created by Jim Cornette, its inauguration was back in October 5, 1997 at WWF Badd Blood. It featured the Undertaker versus Shawn Michaels. It is also the match that is attached to the debut of Kane. Afterwards, the fans would know that the Hell in a Cell would be a match worth watching from that point forward.

Going by the numbers since its initiation, there have been 28 Hell in the Cell matches with only 31 WWE superstars ever stepping into the hellish structure. Only 12 of them were strong enough to step back into into this type of match more than once. Also, out of the 31, only 4 of them are undefeated but those who are only had two or less appearances in the structure. It can be said Hell in a Cell is one of the Undertaker’s specialty matches which is “allowed” to be used by others. He has the most appearances in the match at 12 and half of them are victories. That however ties him at the most victories with Triple H. Also, this match is synonymous with Mick Foley not because of any records, but because of the damage he endured during his matches. He was thrown off the roof of the cell by The Undertaker and slammed through its ceiling twice, once by Triple H and another time by Undertaker yet again.

Now Hell in a Cell will reawaken as Dean Ambrose goes against Seth Rollins in the first match followed by John Cena going against Randy Orton in the second. Who will be able to survive Hell in a Cell because in this type of match, there are only survivors, not winners (unless you’re The Undertaker).

Goldust and Stardust vs. The Usos (WWE Tag Team Championship Match)

Goldust and Stardust (a.k.a. The Brotherhood) have had issues with The Usos and vice versa. Before, they were competitive friends but as time went by both Goldust and Stardust would lose their composure to the point of doing sneak attacks and cheap shots. Eventually, they would be able to gain gold again. Will The Usos have their revenge or will they fall to the Cosmic Key?

Big Show vs. Rusev

Rusev has dominated every single opponent he has fought including Jack Swagger and Mark Henry. Now the Big Show has stepped up to defend the the United States. This match has more international issues both inside and outside the ring. First, Big Show took some heat for tearing down the Russian flag on a live taping of RAW. Then just last Monday, Rusev kicked a U.S. soldier in the face. There is a lot of pride on the line. Who will win this Cold War!

*Rusev defeats Big Show via Submission with the Accolade*

AJ Lee vs. Paige (WWE Divas Championship Match)

The battle of the crazies between the only two ladies who seem to be vying for the WWE Divas Championship continues! Once best friends and now enemies, AJ Lee and Paige have been on an insane roller-coaster ride of a title journey. However, reports show little favor for AJ Lee in which she might be punished for all the CM Punk chants but that is just rumors. However, if she does get punished, maybe it will be wrestling men. In the end, will the Black Widow retain or will the Raven soar to championship status again?

*AJ Lee defeats Paige via Submission with the Black Widow to retain the WWE Divas Championship*

Sheamus vs. The Miz (WWE United States Championship Match)

With four (technically three) victories over Sheamus, The Miz is on a role! Now it comes down to a match which is all or nothing as Sheamus puts up his WWE United States Championship on the line! Will The Miz pull off the hat trick and go five for five (technically four for four) or will the wrath of the Brogue Kick shatter his money-making career? Nevertheless, we all win because we get to see Damian Mizdow! Maybe we’ll finally get to see the debut of Prince Pretty!

*Sheamus defeats The Miz via pinfall after a Brogue Kick to retains the WWE United States Championship*

Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro (Two-Out-Of-Three Falls Match for WWE Intercontinental Championship)

In all respects, the best wrestled match will probably be done by these phenomenal superstars. Both Dolph Ziggler and Cesaro know how to deliver a show for the fans and that is why they are both admired either they be faces or heels. Expect this one to be great because it is 2-out-of-3 falls. Let’s hope we get to see Dolph do his moves up to the count of ten and maybe we’ll get to see Cesaro pull out his most popular move, the Cesaro Swing! And maybe, just maybe, we’ll get to see Cesaro finally use one move fans have been clamoring for: The UFO!

*Dolph Ziggler wins Round Two and match via pinfall after the Zig Zag to Cesaro to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship*

Brie Bella vs. Nikki Bella

The two main faces of Total Divas will fight it out as the Bella twins go one-on-one in the ring. Prior to this match, there was a huge rumor that their match would be the first female Hell in a Cell match. At this moment, that is still just a rumor but maybe something might happen at the event. On a professional level, Brie and Nikki had problems when Brie quit to protect her husband. On a personal level, both of them had issues with each other all their lives. Now they finally get to settle the score in which the loser will become the winner’s personal slave for 30 days and if they don’t fulfill their duties, they have to quit the WWE. Which twin will be the dominant one?

*Nikki Bella defeats Brie Bella via Pinfall after a Rack Attack*

Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins (Hell in a Cell Match)

Brothers in arms in The Shield, Seth Rollins turned his back on both Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns when he joined the Authority. For many months, Dean has tried to get his hands on Seth for what the latter has done. Now he gets his chance in Hell in a Cell. This time, Seth won’t be able to escape as both he and Dean are enclosed in a structure that is unforgiving. Also, this will be the first time both men step into Hell in a Cell. Who will survive?

*Seth Rollins defeats Dean Ambrose via Pinfall after Bray Wyatt interfered*

John Cena vs. Randy Orton (Hell in a Cell Match)

This match is considered the final match because it will put an end to a rivalry that has lasted more than a decade! Both John Cena and Randy Orton started out in Ohio Valley Wrestling. Back then, John Cena (known as the Prototype) had his battles with Orton. Now after all these years, they’ve seasoned their craft and will now test their best against the best the other can offer. Also, there is a huge stipulation added to the mix! The winner will become the Number One Contender against the 1 in 21-1, the beast incarnate, Brock Lesnar! Who will have the unfortunate disfavor to face a man who ended the most prominent streak in WWE history?
