Jessica Simpson Cuts Her Hair, Debuts Bright Blonde Bob
Jessica Simpson has chopped off her long locks. On Saturday, the recently married singer debuted her latest hairstyle, taking to Twitter, where she shared the first photo of her new bob.
“Short hair don’t care… Cut by my favorite @roqchop and blondie by the best of all time @ritahazan,” Simpson wrote, along with the close-up photo of her short, blonde hair.
Rita Hazan, the woman behind the new cut, was also Simpson’s stylist for her July 5, 2014 wedding to husband Eric Johnson.
Jessica Simpson’s bob debut comes exactly one month after she was criticized for wearing visible hair extensions during a trip to New York City. On September 25, Us Weekly reported on the singers’ hair mishap.
“Looking svelte in a plunging black top and black pants, Simpson’s new shorter ‘do and extensions were accidentally on full display as she made her way out of the airport,” the magazine stated.
The photos were pretty shocking — especially considering Simpson has her own line of hair extensions. If anyone knows how to wear extensions and make them look natural, it should be Simpson. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case last month, but since then, Simpson has opted for a more manageable look.
As for Jessica Simpson’s wedding style, Hazan spoke to Us Weekly days after she tied the knot, explaining that Simpson’s look was something they planned for months in advance.
“I prepped her hair six months in advance to coordinate timing for the wedding, making sure that I did her color a few days before,” Hazan explained to the magazine. “Since it was a summer wedding, we wanted the color to be a paler, more natural-looking blonde. I wanted her hair to be timeless so the color was more of a baby blonde, which matches Maxwell’s color, with subtle highlights that blend into her hair so her pictures would be timeless and beautiful.”
Since her summer wedding to Johnson, there have been a handful of reports in regard to their relationship. First, as The Inquisitr reported on September 25, Simpson went public, claiming she was “addicted” to Johnson during an interview with Matt Lauer.
“I just think we’re a little bit more addicted to each other. I just think there is a level of love that has reached the highest of high,” Simpson explained. “Eric and I have both been married before, so we took our time finding the right person. When we found each other, we knew it had to be forever.”
Weeks later, Simpson and Johnson were said to be on the rocks. On October 7, The Inquisitr reported that a source told OK! Magazine, “Jessica’s energy is completely focused on her kids, snuggling in bed with them while Eric camps out on the couch.”
