Leah Calvert Faces Tax Lien

For Leah Calvert, when it rains, it pours. After a week filed with rumors regarding her alleged drug use and infidelities, the Teen Mom 2 star is said to be experiencing money issues. In a new report, state documents have revealed Leah and her husband, Jeremy, were hit with a major tax lien for the amount of $10,598.

“The couple’s money troubles were so bad at one point, the state had to step in and slap them with a lien!” Radar Online reported of Leah and Jeremy on October 25, citing court documents as their source. “On March 31, the couple was slammed with a major tax lien from the state of West Virginia for the amount of $10,598. While the lien was paid off on May 7, Messer later admitted to struggling with other bills stacking up on her plate from her daughter’s medical expenses.”

Leah Calvert’s daughter, Ali Simms, whose father is Calvert’s ex-husband, Corey Simms, was diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophy last year. The disorder causes a deterioration in Ali’s muscles which will eventually restrict her to a wheelchair. For now Ali remains mobile, but her parents recently got her a pink wheelchair so she can keep up with her sisters and the kids at school. Unfortunately, Corey’s insurance didn’t cover the full cost of Ali’s wheelchair.

“It’s stressful because insurance doesn’t cover the whole cost,” Leah said of her mounting medical bills. “One bill alone was $20,000.”

Reportedly adding to Leah Calvert’s money troubles is her alleged drug habit. According to a report, the young mother spends $600 per week on narcotics including Vicodin, Lortab, Percocet and Oxycodone.

“She’s picked up 30 to 40 pills at a time from me,” a source claiming to be Leah’s drug dealer told In Touch Weekly. “[Leah has been] getting high for years.” An unnamed relative added, “I’ve seen Leah pop a handful of pills, chew them like they were candy and swallow them.”

One relative on Leah’s side is her sister, Victoria Messer. While Victoria hasn’t commented on the drug rumors, she did come to her sister’s side over Jeremy’s cheating accusations.

“You’ve wanted out of the marriage for a while and now your trying to make assumptions to make yourself look good to make people feel sorry for you,” Victoria wrote, according to The Inquisitr. “You wanna sit around and post a bunch of bullshit but little do you know sweetheart, we are a little smart than you are and we actually have proof of shit that you’ve done, so maybe you should think before you start making up lies because we have hidden truth.”

Leah Calvert has yet to release a statement in regard to the recent drug rumors. She did, however, address rumors of her cheating, telling fans, via The Inquisitr, that her husband heard a rumor and believed it.
