‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Trouble: Dakota Johnson Isn’t Sexy Enough, Gets Compared To Dishrag

Fifty Shades of Grey fans will not be happy to learn that Dakota Johnson’s lack of sex appeal could potentially ruin the movie.

Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan recently reunited to film a few reshoots for one of the most highly-anticipated movies of 2015. Fans were excited to see the duo back together, but a source told Us Weekly that the reason for their reunion was not a good one — Johnson and Dornan had to redo the Fifty Shades of Grey scenes because of their lack of chemistry and passion. Dakota seems to be the one having the toughest time with the movie’s many steamy scenes.

“Dakota isn’t coming off sexy enough. [Anastasia Steele] needs to be naive, not a dishrag.”

Johnson’s character, Anastasia Steele, starts out as an inexperienced virgin in the Fifty Shades of Grey books. However, she quickly discovers her inner sex kitten when she meets Christian Grey. She also has to be somewhat alluring before she gets in the bedroom — a sexy billionaire like Christian could have any woman that he wants, but there’s something about Ana that makes him fall hard and fast. He’s also not the only guy who is “crazy in love” with Ms. Steele. You can check out the Fifty Shades of Grey trailer one more time to see if you think Dakota Johnson is lacking that special “it” factor that makes Anastasia such a man magnet.

The trailer has over 33 million views, and it was the most-viewed trailer in the world during its first week online. This is proof that there’s no lack of interest in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. However, one star’s lack of interest in the film could also be a problem.

It turns out that Dakota Johnson isn’t the only one struggling with the sex scenes — Jamie Dornan is also having a hard time turning it on in the bedroom. This is because he’s tired of stripping down for the steamy scenes. British Vogue asked Dornan how he feels about shooting nude scenes, and what he had to say might upset some Fifty Shades of Grey fans.

“I’m sick of it. Sick of it,” Jamie revealed. Cosmopolitan speculates that his response might be bad news for those hoping to see Dornan in the Fifty Shades sequels. Alex Rees writes that it could be “time to take another look at that shortlist of backup candidates for Mr. Grey. Matt Bomer fangirls, this just might be your moment.” Of course, it’s possible that Jamie was just joking.
