WWE: Rusev And Lana Blame U.S. Military For American Flag Attack, John Cena To Fight Russian At WrestleMania 31?

The biggest and best new heels of the WWE, Rusev and Lana, are blaming the U.S. military for Rusev somehow misplacing his foot in a U.S. Army soldier’s face. There’s also a rumor going around that John Cena Vs. Rusev will happen at WrestleMania 31, but wait until you hear who the instigator will be.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, during WWE Monday Night RAW in Kansas City, a young U.S. Army soldier was shown jumping the barricade in protest of Rusev attacking the American flag, only to receive a super kick by the Russian wrestler after entering the ring. Rusev and Lana were dragged off the stage and WWE officials began tending to the supposed American serviceman. Although everyone realizes the American serviceman was a plant, Triple H responded to the incident by saying he’d create a kayfabe investigation of the matter. This did not please real American soldiers, some of whom believe the WWE has gone too far with this storyline.

During Friday Night SmackDown, Rusev and Lana addressed the American flag incident by blaming their actions on the U.S. military.

“Despite what everyone thought, Rusev was not going to pull down the American flag,” Lana said. “We would not lower ourselves to such standards. Just like your bigoted military that always paints Mother Russia as the villain. You Americans bask yourselves in your own ignorance of your supposed superiority.”

Perhaps taking a hint from Vladimir Putin’s performances on the international stage, Lana pretty much avoided mentioning the kick to the American soldier’s head, and Rusev did the same.

“We will crush anyone that stands in our way,” said Rusev. “And Big Show, you and your misguided anger and your oversized giant American heart will not help you this Sunday in Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. Big Show, like America this Sunday, you will fail.”

Rusev and Lana continue to make names for themselves, and according to Cageside Seats, one rumor is suggesting the Russian duo will end up taking on John Cena at WrestleMania 31 due to Hulk Hogan.

“One idea for WrestleMania 31 is apparently to have Rusev stay strong and have him run up against Hulk Hogan, who wouldn’t wrestle but rather recruit someone to stand in their corner. It’s still early and a lot would have to go right, but that person could be John Cena.”

This idea makes sense since Hulk Hogan has been asking to be involved in a WrestleMania 31 match for quite a while now. Although he’s unlikely to take on Rusev and Lana in any large manner due to his health, it would make sense for John Cena to step in at that point.

Do you like the way the WWE has been taking the Rusev and Lana characters?
