When You Visit Here, Wash Your Mouth Out With Soap! The World’s Dirtiest Place Names — All 100% Real

What were these towns thinking when they came up with their names? These are some of the dirtiest place names we’ve ever seen, all listed in one video. We’d warn you that the place names in this video, assembled by our dirty-minded friends as BuzzFeed, could be offensive — but they are all 100 percent real.

You won’t believe it when you see them, but they are. So if you’re easily offended, don’t live there.

The place names in this video are so off-color that we can’t even print them in The Inquisitr, which is a family-oriented site. But the names in this BuzzFeed video are only a few of the bizarre and sometimes not-very-nice place names that dot the map, both in the United States and the world, some of them not in this video.

For example, how about spending your next vacation in Pee Pee, Ohio, which takes its name from the nearby Pee Pee Creek. You may think you know how they came up with that name, but apparently “P.P.” were the initials of one of the area’s first settlers, about 300 years ago, and the name just stuck.

If Pee Pee isn’t your thing, you might want to take a little trip across the waters to the small village of Anus, France. Or Middelfart, Denmark.

But of all the bizarre place names, our favorite isn’t really dirty at all. At least we don’t think so. It’s just, well, rather difficult to pronounce, or even spell.

Yes, of course we’re talking about the cozy little burg of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, Wales — population 3,000. If that name is just too much for you, don’t worry. The town has shortened it to the more convenient Llanfairpwllgwyngyll.

Of course, that name may seem bizarre to the rest of the English-speaking world. But when you consider that three of every four people in the town of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch speak fluent Welsh, well, the name probably makes a lot more sense.

Now check out the place names in this BuzzFeed video, but first, cover your eyes!
