Kyle Richards Discusses Her ‘RHOBH’ Season Five Co-Stars
Kyle Richards and the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will soon return to Bravo for a fifth season. Ahead of the upcoming installment Richards spoke out, revealing details about her relationship with Lisa Vanderpump and giving details about the new woman on the show.
During season four of the Bravo reality show, longtime friends Richards and Vanderpump had a falling out. According to their co-star, Brandi Glanville, Vanderpump had encouraged her to bring up accusations, claiming Richards’ husband, Mauricio Umansky, had cheated on her.
“That [accusation] was a big part of our issues … she wasn’t being supportive,” Kyle Richards revealed to OK! Magazine on October 21. “We went through some hard times, but I think it was a friendship worth working on. It can be difficult to navigate with the cameras and millions of people weighing in, but we’re in a good place.”
Kyle Richards is also in a good place with Umansky. Although it’s never fun dealing with rumors, Richards claims she and her husband are actually better off now that they’ve been through the scandal and came out on the other side. “I’d never been the subject of rumors, other than in high school! I really didn’t know how to handle it,” Richards admitted. “My husband is a stand-up guy, and to think that this happened because of the show … I felt guilty for bringing that into his life. But it’s actually made us even stronger.”
When asked if she was Team Lisa or Team Brandi, Richards said, “Today, I would be Team Lisa. But things change very fast around here!” That’s very true. Just months ago, according to a report by The Inquisitr, Richards said her relationship with Vanderpump was “a work in progress.”
Earlier this month, amid filming on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season five, reports surfaced, claiming the new housewives, Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson, had gotten into a fight on set.
“All hell broke loose!” a source told Radar Online on October 16. “It turned into super b****y soap-opera drama. It was a screaming match. Lisa went up to Eileen and said, ‘I don’t know what you have against me, but I’m tired of your evil eye dirty looks. You need to stop it!’ Eileen said, ‘Who do you think you are? I barely know you!'”
However, according to Kyle Richards, Radar‘s story wasn’t completely true. “The stories aren’t accurate, but something did happen,” she explained to OK! “The two new cast members are a very interesting combination!”
Also rumored to have been involved in a fight were Richards and Glanville, although Richard didn’t discuss the issue with OK! Magazine. As The Inquisitr reported, Richards and Glanville were said to have thrown punches at one another during a cast party.
