Evan Rachel Wood Felt Like A Piece Of Meat During Popular Vanity Fair Shoot
Evan Rachel Wood is speaking out about a photo shoot she wasn’t exactly happy about. Ever since photoshop has been on the rise, we’ve heard narratives from actresses complaining about how they were shaved down for an unrealistic figure. Vanity Fair is a magazine that has been called out on creating unappealing images of their cover women. That said, Evan Rachel Wood’s complaints weren’t about the final product, but more about what happened during the shoot.
Vanity Fair is notorious for their Oscar portrait sessions and their Young Hollywood shoots. For the actress, she said her experience during her Young Hollywood shoot was not all it was cracked up to be. In fact, Wood said she felt like a piece of meat, and explained that it was as though her identity was being erased at the young age of 15-years-old.
Although she has photographed with Vanity Fair since her horrible time, it sounds like the whole shoot was quite the learning experience.
In a series of tweets, Evan Rachel Wood sounded off on sharing the cover with then new and emerging talents like Mandy Moore, Amanda Bynes, Hillary Duff, and Lindsay Lohan.

Side note, I have shot the cover of “vanity fair” since and had a much different experience. It was quite lovely.

Her last tweet on the Vanity Fair photo shoot ended on an important end note.
I think when you are young and inexperienced and shy you can be bullied more. I learned to say no. @rachelm97x
