Marie Osmond Rushed to Hospital with Bronchitis

Marie Osmond was forced to head to the ER on Wednesday night after performing one of her regular show in Las Vegas. The 52-year-old singer, actress, and designer of creepyass dolls was diagnosed with a severe case of bronchitis, according to TMZ.

Osmond’s rep Alan Nierob told the site the performer had a “bad lung problem,” and was required to spend a couple of hours in the hospital before being released. She has since returned to see doctors.

Whether future Osmond shows will be affected is unknown at this stage. Currently, Marie performs alongside brother Donny in ‘Donny & Marie,’ a 90-minute variety show that takes place in the 750-seat showroom at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A box office rep at the Flamingo assured TMZ Marie would be able to perform on Friday night, promising that attendees could still expect to see the singing siblings, complete with their eight backing dancers and nine-piece band.

The pair recently extended their contract with the Flamingo until October 2012.
