Jon Gosselin Hits Rock Bottom… Again

It seems as though life is going from bad to worse for Jon Gosselin.

E!Online reports that the father of eight was recently evicted from his home, for reason of non-payment.

Although it was reported that Gosselin had a new job with a credit card company, apparently that hasn’t worked out. One inside source reported, “The job at the credit card company he was working for didn’t pan out. The anticipated income wasn’t there and the situation deteriorated.”

But sources at Star magazine put somewhat of a different spin on Gosselin’s situation. According to their sources, Gosselin took residence in the $299,000 property, located near ex-wife Kate, where his children reside permanently. At the time, Jon had agreed to a rent-to-own lease agreement with the property’s owners.

“Jon didn’t understand the terms of the contract and broke the lease, thinking he could just rent the property after agreeing to the rent to own the contractual agreement,” a source told the Star. “Evidently, he didn’t understand the terms of the contract.”

Jon has not made any payments on the house since June, and has also bounced multiple checks. At one point, Gosselin was claiming that he was working with a bank in order to secure a loan to pay the owners of the property what he owed. However, Star’s insider says that Gosselin appeared to be overconfident, making claims he couldn’t back up.

“He acted like he had all this money,” the insider claimed. “The owners tried to work with him, and he’d get cocky and claim he could easily pay for the house in cash.”

Jon Gosselin dealing with financial problems comes at little surprise, though. In May, he was fired from a job as a waiter for not showing up for shifts, or when he did show up, showing up late. Another report claims that Jon made an agreement with Kate, trading in his right to having a say in the children’s television appearances in exchange for not having to pay any sort of financial child support.

Several of E!’s inside sources confirmed Gosselin’s eviction, one admitting bluntly that the eviction was due to Jon’s financial problems, saying, “It’s true. The eviction happened last week. He could no longer afford the rent. He has moved out and is already in a new place in the same neighborhood.”

The new place, however, is reportedly a small apartment that has no room for his eight children. One source lamented, “The saddest part of it is he now has nowhere to take the kids. He’s not allowed at the house, so he was taking them to his old apartment. But the new one is too small for eight children. It’s heartbreaking.”

And to add insult to injury, even Gosselin’s closest friends have refused to bail him out. “Jon has asked friends for help, but no one wants to lend him money because they don’t see how he’d be able to pay it back,” admitted a source to E!

Ouch!

Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin divorced in 2009, and their relationship has not been amicable, as evidenced in an earlier report that claims Kate forced her nanny to eavesdrop on conversations between Jon and their children. But while Kate has managed to continue to be successful, it seems as though Jon continues to spiral downwards. And his recent eviction may just be more evidence of this.
