‘Teen Mom’ Star Gary Shirley Denies Cheating On Amber Portwood
Gary Shirley was accused of cheating on Teen Mom star Amber Portwood during the recent MTV special, Ask The Moms. However, according to Shirley, he never did such a thing.
On the Ask The Moms episode, Portwood claimed Shirley tricked her into thinking they had a future together after she chose to turn herself in to prison to serve a five-year sentence. Once she was behind bars, Portwood alleged Shirley turned his back on her and began sleeping with his current girlfriend, Kristina Anderson. The Inquisitr reported on October 9 that Anderson was pregnant with Shirley’s second child.
On Facebook, Gary Shirley addressed the issue with fans, explaining, “I told her about my girl 5 days after I officially started dating her.” According to an October 14 report by Radar Online, Shirley began dating the reportedly now-pregnant Kristina Anderson, 32, while Portwood was in prison. “I told her in front of my girl friend over the phone cause I didn’t wanna lie! Plz be aware that most of what she has said is false! Amber unfortunately has to put a spin on things to make her the victim plus it helps her dog me a lil!”
Gary Shirley then spoke directly to Portwood, telling his former girlfriend, the mother of his five-year-old daughter, Leah, “By all means plz continue to lie and sell your book which also lies about me cheating, which I did do 1 time, but was just a kiss.”
In June 2012, after failing to successfully kick her drug habit in a court-ordered rehab program, Portwood decided her only hope for sobriety was jail time. While Portwood agreed to a five-year term, she was granted an early release in November 2013. Since her release, Portwood has been focused on parenting and getting an education to further her career.
Gary Shirley has also made strides in recent months. “Just so everyone is aware I’m not immature like I once was,” he said. “I learned a lot of my actions had consequences.”
That said, Shirley jumped at the opportunity to note his daughter, Leah, doesn’t always enjoy spending time on the photo with her mother. “Amber gets phone calls often from Leah after I insist she talk to Amber even when she doesn’t want to!” he wrote. “Having both her parents is super important so she don’t feel abandoned.”
As for Portwood, a source claimed to Radar she wasn’t bothered by Shirley’s Facebook rant. “Amber knows she didn’t lie and isn’t letting Gary bring her down,” the insider said.
Gary Shirley has yet to directly confirm the news of Anderson’s possible pregnancy but he has hinted the news was true on Twitter, according to an October 11 report by The Inquisitr.
