Phaedra Parks Fights Separate Battle: Problems Won’t End By Divorcing Apollo Nida

Phaedra Parks is fighting a separate battle than the one she has with estranged husband, Apollo Nida. Just because she’s preparing to divorce Apollo, her problems won’t end there. Her marriage to him will have a lingering effect in a defamation lawsuit she’s fighting against former business partner, Angela Stanton.

According to another exclusive by Radar Online, Parks will be “forced” to give a new deposition by answering direct questions about Nida and his criminal activities. Stanton has accused Phaedra of “thwarting” the legal system and making a “mockery” of it. In a deposition she sat down for a few months ago, Phaedra was in the midst of allegedly making her own conditions for answering any probing questions. She didn’t provide any information on her husband’s suspicious business dealings, nor did she reveal anything asked about herself. She responded with “evasive or incomplete” answers, court papers reveal.

The Inquisitr reported on Phaedra’s conduct in the session in which she refused to answer anything regarding her husband.

Among the wording in legal documents filed by Stanton’s attorney is seen below.

“… Questions regarding Parks’ knowledge of, benefit from, and participation in her husband’s criminal schemes are very obviously relevant to the issue in this case … This is particularly true given that the schemes described by Stanton in her book (insurance fraud, forgery, VIN fraud) closely resemble the financial crimes for which Mr. Nida has been convicted. Yet throughout her deposition, Parks refused outright to answer any questions regarding her husband or her knowledge of her husband’s involvement in criminal schemes.”

The latest report doesn’t indicate when Parks will be in for her second deposition. She filed a lawsuit against Angela Stanton in 2012 for defamation after she published an e-book titled, Lies of a Real Housewife. In it, Stanton claims Phaedra Parks ran a “criminal enterprise” when the two of them were business associates. She alleges that those criminal activities involved “fraudulent bank accounts, insurance checks, fake IDs, chop shops, stolen cars, fraudulent titles, [and] fraudulent registration cards.”

It’s officially confirmed by Phaedra’s rep, Steve Honig, that she’s getting a divorce from Apollo Nida. The RHOA star has retained an attorney and is having papers drawn up that will be served to him in prison.

People reported on the official statement released by Honig on October 10.

“[Phaedra] has retained an attorney with the intent of amicably ending her marriage.”
