2011 American Music Awards: Performances By Justin Bieber, Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera


Dick Clark Productions President Orly Adelson announced several 2011 American Music Awards performances on Monday and among those performers will be teen heartthrob Justin Bieber, American Idol champion Kelly Clarkson and R&B/Hip-Hop star Mary J. Blige.

Adelson also announced that Maroon 5 will take to the stage to perform Moves Like Jagger with the help of the songs co-signer Christina Aguilera.

Already announced for performances were Katy Perry and Pitbull. Organizers also said more acts will be added to the performance list in the “coming week.”

Leading this years field with four nominations is songstress Adele who recently cancelled parts of her U.S. tour due to a ruptured vocal chord.

Following on Adele’s heels with three nominations each are Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and The Band Perry. Performers with two nominations include Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Jason Aldean, Kanye West, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj and Pitbull.

The show’s top nomination for “Artist of the Year” will be battled out by Adele, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, and Taylor Swift
