‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Animated TV Show Coming 2015? Here Are The Details!

Guardians of the Galaxy is coming to a television near you sooner than you might think — as an animated TV show!

That’s right — a Guardians of the Galaxy animated TV series is coming to Disney XD in 2015, according to an official announcement made at the New York Comic Con on Friday.

Along with the announcement, test footage of the new Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon has also been released online by Marvel Entertainment for your viewing pleasure.

Therefore, it won’t be long before millions of Marvel fans of all ages will be able to see the whole gang — Peter Quill (aka “Star Lord”), Rocket Raccoon, Gamora, Drax and everyone’s favorite tree Groot — as animated characters on the small screen.

Entertainment Weekly even released the promotional poster for the Guardians animated series online, which went viral online almost immediately after it arrived. Some fans might even want to turn the promotional poster into a desktop wallpaper or printed poster.

The Guardians of the Galaxy animated TV series will be in good company on Disney XD, especially with such popular animated series as Star Wars: Rebels, The Avengers, and Spider-Man airing on the same channel. Keep in mind that many fans of the Marvel cinematic universe had never heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy until the movie was made — and became the highest-grossing blockbuster hit of the summer. Thanks to such a memorable movie and impressive performance at the box office, it should not be any surprise that an animated TV show about the Guardians of the Galaxy would be released.

Even though there is not very much information available yet about this highly-anticipated animated TV series, fans will not have to wait very much longer in order to enjoy the Guardians of the Galaxy on their home televisions. That is because the hit movie is scheduled to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray in December (Digital HD in November). There is also a sequel to the Guardians of the Galaxy movie currently in development that is scheduled to be released in theaters in July of 2017.

Quite a few people are already getting excited about the Guardians of the Galaxy animated TV series, posting their reactions to the news on Twitter.

However, there are still other people that do not necessarily think that the Guardians of the Galaxy animated TV series is such a good idea after all.
