Shia LaBeouf On Life After Jail: ‘I’m As Good As I Can Be’ – Here’s Why!

Shia LaBeouf appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Friday to finally talk about his recent troubles – including the time that he served in jail.

This was the first time in a very longtime that Shia LaBeouf was featured on a daytime talk show (or any talk show for that matter) since his recent streak of problems first began. However, it seems as if the time away served him well since Shia was able to openly discuss the issues while sharing a few laughs with Ellen the whole time.

“I went through like an existential crisis. Which turned into some explorations. I had some hiccups, some judgment errors.”

Later in the interview, Shia LaBeouf credited the time that he served in jail as being the wake-up call that he needed in order to straighten up and get his life back on track.

“Jail was quite scary…I was there for, it felt like forever, I think 24 hours 25 hours…I really went all the way with it, they put a Hannibal mask on me and a led jacket. It was very scary.”

The 28-year old actor even took the time to publicly apologize to the cop that he spit on which led to him being arrested and placed in jail.

“I’m sorry. If you’re watching, dude, I’m sorry. That was crazy, man.”

This could possibly be a good sign that indicates the return of Shia LaBeouf into the Hollywood spotlight instead of tabloid magazines and courtroom battles. His appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show was primarily designed to promote his acting in the highly-anticipated Brad Pitt film, Fury, which opens in the United States on October 17. Recent reports have confirmed that Shia LaBeouf took his portrayal of the character Boyd “Bible” Swan very seriously – especially when it came to his appearance. As reported by the Inquisitr, Shia LaBeouf even cut himself in order to make his war wounds look more authentic on-screen.

As of right now, Shia LaBeouf’s future filming schedule seems to be wide open. Hopefully, he is able to use the good press that he receives from his performance in Fury and candid interviews (such as the one he did with Ellen) in order to rebound his career and fill up his future schedule with memorable roles. However, many people still believe that Shia LaBeouf still has a long way to go.

What do you think? Is Shia LaBeouf on his way to a major comeback in Hollywood?
