Teresa Giudice Has Second Thoughts About Doing Things Differently Before Fraud Charges

After hearing from the judge that she’ll be serving 15 months in prison, Teresa Giudice is taking time to reflect on a lot of things in her life. She’s in the midst of dealing with the reality that she’ll be apart from her three daughters after January 5. Although the Real Housewives of New Jersey star is paying a price for the bad decisions she’s made regarding money, it’s hard for any mother to part from her children for a length of time.

In an Us Weekly interview, Teresa says that she wishes she’d done things differently, but rethinks that comment and backtracks.

“I wish I could do everything differently. But then again, maybe not, because this is a life lesson that I need to learn and will learn, and will teach my children for the rest of my life, just as Judge Salas told me she expected me to do.”

As the cover of Us reads, the interview reveals what Teresa “hasn’t told her girls.” The RHONJ star adds on the cover story: “We destroyed our family.”

What will she reveal in her exclusive interview with the magazine?

Wendy Feldman is Teresa’s crisis manager and legal coach. She spoke with People magazine and explains how this will be different for the whole family dynamic.

“At the end of the day they are people. If anything, this will be a transformational experience and they are looking to the future.”

Joe Giudice says he wishes that he’d just gone to jail instead of how the judge determined the sentencing. He’s dealing with the fact that he’s in charge of the three girls until their mother gets out of jail. He’s fully aware of what the responsibility holds.

“It’s going to be a lot of work, but they are my daughters and I gotta do what I gotta do. I guess I’ll be the housewife.”

Teresa Giudice says Joe will come see her twice a week while she’s in prison, but she doesn’t want him to do that because their daughters “are busy and they have busy schedules.” She feels that once a week is enough so he can tend to the girls: Gia, 13, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 5.

Once Teresa is finished with her 15-month sentence, Joe will enter prison in 2016 for 41 months. Judge Esther Salas made the decision on October 2 so one parent will be taking care of the girls.
