Jill Dillard: ’19 Kids And Counting’ Star Chaperones Sister Jessa Duggar On Group Date To Demolition Derby

Jill Dillard joined her sister Jessa Duggar for a double-date, but this time the expecting Dillard was also playing the role of chaperone.

The sisters and stars of the reality show 19 Kids and Counting joined their men, Derick Dillard and Ben Seewald, for a date at the demolition derby. The girls were dressed for the crisp fall weather, which meant that Jill’s growing baby bump stayed covered up for the evening.

But Derick Dillard did share a photo of the night, posting to Instagram a picture alongside her Jessa Duggar and her fiance.

It has been a big year for the Duggar sisters, with Jill getting married to Derick over the summer and then announcing her pregnancy just a few weeks later. Her sister Jessa Duggar also got engaged over the summer and has a wedding planned for November 1.

Jill and Derick have plenty of other work to do in the next few months. Late last month, Jill shared that she and her new husband have been collecting Bible verses to encourage them for the pregnancy and delivery.

“Writing out bible verses for encouragement during pregnancy, labor and delivery!” she captioned the shot that showed verses from Isaiah and Deuteronomy.

Derick has been working as well, telling the Christian Post wants to make sure he’s a good example for his unborn child.

“For a daughter, I want to show her how a man should treat her, just like Jill’s dad did for her,” he explained. “And just be the best dad I can be to both my sons and daughters and really purpose to teach them the Word of God early on and pray that they will come to the Lord early in life. And helping them be open, not afraid to come to us about anything.”

Jill and Derick Dillard may have served another function on the double date. The Duggar family’s strict courtship rules require that all dates be chaperoned — a role Jill is now serving herself.

It may be a tough process, but Jill said she’s glad for having the rules.

“Both of our parents have had the hearts of their children, knowing that they can come to them and talk about anything,” Jill told the Christian Post. “And then, just really leading by example and purposing to have a Godly marriage and one that is focused on the Lord. And hopefully the children will learn to fear God and be a servant of all.”

Jill Dillard will have a chance to lead her own family soon enough. She’s due for her first child and the newest addition to the 19 Kids and Counting family next year.
