Chris Martin Buys New House Across The Street From Gwyneth Paltrow
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has just purchased a European home in Brentwood, Los Angeles. Several sources told Us Weekly that the 7,700 square-foot home is situated right across the street from Martin’s ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow’s home. The couple “consciously uncoupled” in March.
The source said that Chris chose a home close to Gwyneth’s so that their children, Apple, 10, and Moses, 8, can be with both of their parents “whenever they want.” A different source also said that Gwyneth’s mother, Blythe Danner, helped Chris move in to his new home, which consists of 5 bedrooms and 7 baths.
On September 27, Gwyneth celebrated her 42nd birthday, and the courtyard of Martin’s new home was the setting for the party held on Saturday, September 28. Chris Martin hosted the star-studded birthday bash that was attended by Gavin Rossdale, Nicole Richie, Kate Hudson, Maya Rudolph, and Tobey Maguire, among others.
The insider revealed some of the party’s details, saying that the courtyard was decked with hanging lights, and the guests enjoyed their dinner while sitting at long tables.
“Everyone was seated facing each other so they could talk and tell stories. They were all laughing together… Gwyneth was surrounded by girlfriends and couldn’t stop giggling.”
One of the people not present during Gwyneth’s birthday bash is Chris Martin’s new love, Jennifer Lawrence. According to NY Daily News, Jennifer has been supporting Chris by attending his concerts held in different places across the country.
On October 3, Chris Martin was a surprise guest at a Kings of Leon concert where he played the piano on two songs, “Notion” and “Talihina Sky.” An insider told Just Jared that Jennifer was present during the show.
“Jen was taking photos and videos of Chris during rehearsals on her phone. They engaged playfully with each other, appearing like a couple in love. She kissed him on the lips several times.”
Last month, Jennifer was photographed backstage supporting Chris Martin during Coldplay concerts held in Los Angeles and Las Vegas as Inquisitr previously reported.
Though Jennifer Lawrence was not present at Gwyneth’s bash, previous reports say that Paltrow has nothing against the Hunger Games actress, and she just wants Chris to be happy. While Chris Martin purchasing a house close to Gwyneth’s may be odd for some, the move just goes to show how amicable the relationship is between the two, who have been spending time together with their children despite their split.
