The Big Bang Theory is headed back to Sin City, and this time the girls are going to be the members of the gang hoping that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
The Inquisitr previously reported that the upcoming October 6 episode of The Big Bang Theory will be titled “The Hook-Up Reverberation,” and it will focus on Raj introducing his girlfriend Emily to the group. Spoiler alert: it looks like Emily doesn’t become BFFs with Penny, Bernadette, and Amy. Judging from recently-released set photos of the October 13 episode titled “The Focus Attenuation,” Emily didn’t get an invite to the girls’ Vegas trip.
The guys previously went to Vegas in the season 2 episode titled “The Vegas Renormalization.” Sheldon skipped the trip, and Raj and Leonard hired a prostitute to go on a date with a broken-hearted Howard.
This time it’s the girls’ turn to have fun on The Big Bang Theory, and set photos shared by Spoiler TV certainly make it look like they’re ready to party. Penny and Bernadette both rock sexy little black dresses in one picture, and Penny’s barely-there mini looks more like lingerie. It’s safe to say that their significant others would be very worried if they saw the outfits.
You’ve got to love Amy’s idea of a Vegas-appropriate outfit: a vest over a long-sleeved shirt with a high collar. She does try to sex it up just a bit with a touch of black lace right over her breasts and sparkly black skirt (it hits well below the knee, off course).
One set photo shows Bernadette and Amy enjoying two extra-large drinks without Penny, which is extremely shocking — when has Penny ever turned down a drink on The Big Bang Theory?
From the sounds of the episode description in a CBS press release, Kaley Cuoco’s character isn’t going to have much fun during the Vegas trip.
“Amy and Bernadette accuse Penny of being a ‘buzzkill’ after she gets an email from work during their Vegas weekend.”
During the season 8 premiere of The Big Bang Theory, Penny scored a new gig working as a pharmaceutical sales rep, and she’s obviously very serious about doing a good job at her new job — there’s no way that the old Penny would have given up a night in Vegas to work.
The photo at the very top of the page shows Bernadette and Amy passed out in bed while a refreshed-looking Penny is all decked out in her bikini and ready to head to the hotel pool. It will be interesting to see if Bernadette and Amy experienced a wild night straight out of The Hangover while Penny stayed in. Maybe Bernadette took poor Amy to a strip club to give her a taste of what she’s missing at home.
It will certainly be strange seeing Penny act like the most responsible member of the group, but perhaps she’s ready to put her party girl days behind her.
While the girls are enjoying their Vegas trip, the guys will be home trying to “invent something cool.” However, they just discover that they’re really good at coming up with “new ways to procrastinate.”
Perhaps they should try inventing an elf-catching trap. According to Moviefone, Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki recently told David Letterman that a trip to Iceland made him believe in elves, and he dropped a statistic that sounds like something Sheldon would share on The Big Bang Theory: He said that 90 percent of Icelanders believe in elves and fairies.
The guys might not catch any elves, but you can see if they actually manage to invent anything when The Big Bang Theory episode “The Focus Attenuation” airs on October 13 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
