Amanda Bynes Might Have A Secret Twitter Account, Defends Herself After Arrest

If you haven’t been following the Amanda Bynes saga, here’s what you need to know. The Nickelodeon child star was arrested for throwing a bong through her apartment window in New York City back in 2013.

At the time, she was found with marijuana. The arrest seemed to be a culmination of bizarre behavior. Bynes documented her erratic behavior on Twitter and made bizarre references to singer Drake. During her court proceedings she continued to tweet strange messages, accusing her arresting officer of sexually harassing her.

Bynes was seen two months later lighting a fire in a stranger’s driveway in California. After that, Bynes disappeared from the spotlight and stopped using her Twitter. Her parents, who were concerned about her well-being, were able to obtain a conservatorship, which made them in charge of her legal issues and medical observation. During this time she was put on a psych hold, and there were sources that said her mental state was unknown.

At the time, it was rumored that she was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder, which her attorney denied. Her attorney told People magazine, “She asked me to dispel certain rumors. For the record, Amanda does not have schizophrenia, nor has she ever been diagnosed with it.”

During this time Bynes seemed to be thriving. She had started to live a normal life, stayed away from twitter, and took classes at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in California. At the time it was said that Bynes enrolled in college, “to get a fresh start.”

It seemed like Bynes was doing well in 2014, and then she hit bottom again. The former actress was arrested for driving under the influence, and as for fashion school it’s said that she was kicked out. As for her Tweeting? Jezebel dishes that Bynes may have a secret Twitter account.

This unverified account is reportedly being used to refute stories about her recent behavior. After people caught on, her followers rose from 7,000 to 10,000 followers.

“‘Ashley Banks'” or @persianla27 has been rumored for a while to be a poorly disguised alias, and has been relentlessly tweeting increasingly disturbing s**t in the months preceding Bynes’ arrest (along with #TBT pics of the star from her 2013 glory days.) There’s also a Tumblr linked under the same name, and a weird Instagram and Facebook page.”

The twitter’s bio says “worthy of love” and that’s about it. Her tweets are very reminiscent of the old tweets from her original account.

Additionally, the troubled star arrived in New York City looking bizarre with bandages on her face.
